Day 30: Three wishes/ goals for your family

I have been thinking a lot about this post. For me there are several different things I want for the family. I have came up with the following as the highest ones that I think are the most important out of everything the family dreams about.

1.  To have a closer relationship with the Lord.
2.  To keep making education a high priority for my girls, they need to know the harder they work at school the farther they will go in life.
3.  To keep the family strong. We have been going through a lot lately and I know we will come out of it all as a stronger family.


This is the last post for the 30 day family challenge. I hope whoever has been following along everyday that you have had fun learning about our family. I have enjoyed doing this 30 day challenge along with my friend Jackie over at The Beach Family Blog.

Day 28: Kids favorite snacks

These snacks are a must in our household at ALL times. I much rather them eat crackers for snacks instead of candy ;)

Day 27: Favorite birthday party

We often have Anika's and Caeley's birthday party together since they are very close together. When Caeley was turning 3 and Anika was turning 2 we threw a Mickey mouse party for them. There is more photos then what I am posting but then it would be a photo overload.

Day 26: Most memorable trip or vacation

There has been so many trips for our family. Being a military family we travel a lot to see family and move when the navy tells us it's time. I think right now our memorable trip is moving to Texas. The girls were just old enough to understand what was going on. During this trip poor lil' Caeley had motion sickness and got sick a few times during the trip. On the second day of this road trip we were in Tenn. and we told our GPS to take us to wal-mart (by the way we were on the highway when we told the GPS that) and it took us to the VERY back roads of Tenn. and then all of a sudden the GPS said "you have reached your destination!" We look around to what the GPS was talking about since we were stopped in the middle of this dirt road and the closest thing that we saw was a house. So needless to say we never did find wal-mart when we wanted one but we found our way back to the highway and tried again when we stopped to eat.

Day 24: Favorite dessert or sweet recipe

A family favorite is a recipe that my friend, Jackie showed me on the Kraft recipe site.

EASY LEMON CAKE

1 pkg. (2-layer size) lemon cake mix

2 pkg.  (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Instant Pudding

1-1/2 cups cold milk

1 tub  (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

 

1. Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 2 (8 or 9 inch) round cake layers. Cool in pans 10 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

 

2. Beat pudding mixes and milk with whisk 2 minutes. Immediately spread over tops of cakes.

 

3. Stack the cake layers. Frost with cool whip.

 

 

 

Day 23: Favorite local restaurant

We have recently discovered our local favorite restaurant. El Fenix. It is an outstanding mexican food place. The service was great as was the food. The restaurant was extreamly clean as well.

Day 22: Worst kitchen catastrophe

I am possitive that I have had my share of kitchen catastrophe, but at the moment only one comes to mind. I was pregnant with my youngest and I was in the middle of making an egg salad when my neighbor came over and asked me to go with her to her house for something (i don't remember what) when i came back home about 10 minutes later I smelled something burning.....the eggs that I had on the stove for my egg salad had exploded. It was all over the ceiling, stove, floor basicly everywhere! It was not fun to clean up. By the way my 2 older girls were at daycare when this happened.

Day 21: Whats in your "kid" bag or diaper bag

Well I no longer have a diaper bag, YAY!!!!! But in my bag I always have a travel size first aid kit, nail clippers and hand sanitizer.

Day 20: A favorite photo

I love this photo. It shows that even though they fight, scream and even love one another that they will no matter what be there for one another. Why? Because they are sisters.

Day 19: Family's favorite icecream/ frozen treat

We all have a few different favorite flavors of ice cream.
We like, Mint chocolate chip, vanilla, butter pecan, rocky road and I know there is a few more that I just can't remember right now. But our favorite brand of ice cream is Blue bell. YUM!





Day 18: What does mommy and/ or daddy wear to work

Michael is in the military so he wears the military issued uniform. I am a stay at home mommy so I mostly wear jeans and a t-shirt.

We live in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. We have just moved here recently from Virginia.

Day 12: Nicknames or pet names within the family

There really isn't any nicknames or pet names in the house. The only nicknames I can think of is Michael and I call one another babe and Caeley gets called "Caeley-girl" (I have no idea why).
